Just a question out of curiosity. Darwin will sit and tolerate being blow dried, but he would get up and leave if I let him. Do any of you have doodles who like being blow dried?
Jordan does. I blow dry her ears after a bath. She is in the bathroom when I blow dry my hair. She also will not move for the vacuum.I have to tell her to move. She has no issues with load noises.
Rosco will also stay in place but doesn't particularly LIKE it. I rarely blow dry my doods though. Thule never needs it and Rosco only needs it if we've given him a bath close in time to when he needs to be somewhere and dry--otherwise I airdry them both. On nice, warm, sunny days I take him on a walk after a bath to speed things along.
Since the first day we got Gavin, and he required constant eyes on supervision, we have had a morning routine. He came into the bathroom and lied on floor while I showered and layed at my feet in the spare room while I dried my hair. Now as soon as I turn on the bathroom vent fan, he comes and lies down. While drying my hair I give him a couple of shots with the dryer just to get him used to it. If he is feeling frisky he tries to bite the air, if not he just lies there humouring me!
Groucho Too likes any kind of one-on-one attention. He also requires blow drying or his hair matts badly. So whenever he has a bath he has to be blown dry afterwards. So just plan on a couple of hours for a bath and blow dry. Hondo tolerates the blow dryer as long as you keep it away from his face.
Murphy LOVES the blow dryer. Every morning when I turn the hair dryer on, he comes running. I have to spend at least a minute using the hair dryer on him before I can get to my hair.
He HATES any kind of vacuum. Don't know why. Higher pitched noise.
