Well...as soon as I typed it earlier this week that "Ruger doesn't tear up his toys", it happened! Ruger tore up his newish stuffed duck. So, besides his beef soup bones & kong, I need to invest in some tough chew dog toys for the Rugster. He is LARGE, so we need big toys. He loves his tennis balls, but does not tear those up.

Which are your favorite toys and where do you like to shop to get them?

Favorite toys are anything NOT stuffed, NOT soft plastic, and preferably without a sqeeker that I have to wonder WHERE did it end up? I like Jefferspet.com and Petedge for great prices. Don't feel so bad spending $4-$5.00 on something they destroy in a few days that would've cost $8-$10.00 at Petco or Petsmart. They both deliver quickly and I've had great stuff from them both.
I work at doggy daycare and the ONLY toy that has lasted is the black Extreme Kongs. Someone on this forum said their dog had broken through one of them but, that is the only dog I have heard of doing so. I've tried lots of other "tuff" type toys but, they get through them in minutes.
Hershey shreds the black Extreme Kongs. heehee. But only in the traditional "Kong" shape! The Black Extreme Kong Bone (with holes in each end) has survived for 6 months!
Raya has a few toys by Planet Dog. They have a chew rating and we get the ones with a 5 teeth rating, strongest ones. We get them where I get her food, but there are places online also. She also loves her nylabones and we have almost every version they make! Good luck. We gave up on stuffed toys a long time ago!
Timbow has the opposite problem. He can tear up the most extreme rubber 'chew proof' toy, but he will keep a plush stuffed toy in perfect shape. Weird...I know.
weird, but cute
