About Me:: I am a resident of Virginia Beach and grew up with Labrador Retrievers all my life. Now that I have settled down it was the perfect time to get my own dog. After two years of researching doodles and doodle breeders I had made my decision. I choose to get my pup from Old Mill Doodles, Staunton VA. A godlendoodle seems like the best of booth breeds with the added benefit of a low to non-shed dog. What gets better than that!?

What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!: 10 month old Goldendoodle named Kensi! She is very mellow so far but loves to have her belly rubbed and play with her toys. She is such a sweet girl and quite the climber.

I also just got a mini schnauzer named Heidi, she is so much fun and a great little sister for Kensi.

Where did you get your doodle(s)?: Breeder

Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?: best of both worlds.

What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?: Play ball and snuggle. She is obssesed with the water whether it be the shower, hose, pool, ocean or just a puddle!!

Does your doodle(s) shed?: A little bit but nothing major

Who grooms your doodle(s)?: me

Favorite Doodle Products?: Stuffed duck and giant bone. She also loves a simple tennis ball, rope chew toy and ice cubes.

Relationship Status:: Single

We have a new and exciting event coming July 26th, from 1-4 to celebrate our recent jump to 100 members!
We will be having a BBQ/Picnic and a lake for the doodles to go swimming at The Dude Ranch in Glen Allen. Please check out the discussion on the group page entitled "Party Time" and respond there if you plan to attend so I can get a doodle head count for the facility.

We've tried Kirkland, which is what she ate before she came home to us, then innova, now ACANA. She really only eats it if she's starving, but even still will only take a few bites and walk away. I've tried adding canned food, chicken broth, etc to it, but still nothing. What did you do? I've had her for almost 2 weeks now... and shes only gained 1 lb!

This is a reminder that the Spring Romp is next weekend March 15th at 1pm. The make-up date in case of bad weather is the following Sunday. We have some great news, our newest member Charnell told me her daughter Amy, is launching a canine therapeutic massage business and she has volunteered to provide some freebie massages to the GRAD group at the romp. Also as I stated in the e-mail message we will be having a few contest. Inspired by Strange's Dog days in the garden, the best sit/stay, the owner/doodle look-a-like, and the best dressed for St. Patty's day contests. Please respond in the discussion on the group page if you will be attending and please let me know if you are new to the group, are attending and would like your GRAD bandana for your doodle.
