- About Me:
- I am a retired medical scientist from Stanford University Medical School. I have lived in California for the last 30 years, but was born a Texan!!! Graduate school in Pittsburgh, PA. I love to travel, read,hike. I continue professional activities at the Med School and am a consultant for stem cell associated issues.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- Ozzie is an F1B labradoodle from Spring Creek Labradoodles in Oregon. He was my retirement gift to myself since there was no time during my professional career for a doggie. Now he is the most important little boy in my life. He is 4 years old. We are a certified Delta Society Pet Partner team for complex facilities. We visit nursing homes and participate in a READ program for 5th-6th graders. We do competition and he now has a Rally Excellent title as well as his CD title for novice obedience. He is an agility dropout! We are now working towards the CDX for advanced obedience.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- Allergy issues for me. I had also met doodles at romps and it was love at first sight. The wonderful dispositions and cuteness....how could I resist???
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- Hiking, walking, going to doggie camp, doing our therapy visits, hanging out with Ozzie asleep in my lap!
- Does your doodle(s) shed?
- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- Local groomers...we are still trying to find a good one.
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- Doggie ice cream, chicken drumsticks,cheese, Wubba Wubba kong toy, squeaky balls, anything for playing tug!!

Hey Lucy, just wanted to let you know we got a little rescue this week. He is possibly a little grey/white mini labradoodle, but who knows. He had been on the streets in Martinez and needed to be shaved down and had a foxtail in his anal gland. Poor little guy, but he is a great companion for Harpo. They wrestle and play all day. That is just want we wanted and needed right now. Hope to see you and Ozzie at a romp sometime soon.
Carla has suggested another doodle romp at Carmel Beach. She is going to be there over St. Patrick's Day weekend so I am inviting people to come for photos at the bench at the bottom of 9th St. at 10:30 on Sunday, March 17th. I will make a Smilebox for anyone who is interested.
At least five doodles will be on Carmel Beach on Saturday morning. Join us if you can.
Noticed your dog is a therapy dog. If you don't mind, I'll pick your brain later about the certification. I think I want to work with my dog to get him certified.
PS. I was working at Stanford GSB for almost 5 years. Stanford is such a great place to work. I'll probably be back there at some point in my career.
I am getting my boy from Southern California Kennels (TropicoKennels.com). I'm so excited and waiting another month and a half is killing me. Its been a long time since I've had a puppy.
I'll keep you posted on how the process goes with the breeder.

What the heck? Seems like I can only get one downloaded at a time, so when I copy another photo, it deletes the first. Okay, so I will send one at a time.
Don't know Jed but a few of the Smileboxes that I sent were returned to me also, and these were people who had requested a Smilebox. So I guess there are some problems with addresses, even if the person writes it down.
Here are the other photos I was mentioning to you but was unable to send. Ones of you and Karan at the beach in Carmel. Keep me informed about the dates you are going to be there and I will plan to meet you.
These were on the disk when I was downloading photos for the doodle romp today. Thought you might like them. I may have been before - can't remember that far back! I dowloaded four but just the last one is here. I will try the others later.
