- I live in Smithtown/Hauppauge on Long Island with my husband and 2 sons. We added an aussie doodle to our family in May of 2008 after 7 years without a dog. She has truly become 'one of the family'.
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- We have a tri color aussie doodle named Tori. After MUCH deliberation, we chose "Tori" because it actually means "elegant" in the Aborigine language. Besides some Koi and goldfish in our pond, she is our only pet.
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?

- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- We actually fell upon this breed of a dog. For years, my sons wanted another dog, but I really wasn't up to the upkeep it took. We had a 125 pound Golden that had to be put down at 11 years old. (He was our "first" baby ). My older son went on "dog-breeder.com" and put in our "desires". He wanted a large dog, my younger son wanted a small one he could hold, and after our Golden, I wanted a non-shedder. He completed a questionnaire of many questions and believe it or not an aussie doodle popped up! I had NEVER heard of one before. There were no breeders to be found near us at all. The only one we found was one in Ontario. We checked out her website and...
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- She loves to play chase, and ball. She's great at agility games, but we really need to work with her more outside on this now that the weather is cooling down. But most of all I like to just sit with her and play with her hair.

- A little bit but nothing major
- Who grooms your doodle(s)?
- Kathi from My-T-Fine Canine. She is EXCELLENT!!!
- Favorite Doodle Products?
- None now, but I have heard about Bark2Basics which is supposed to be great with matts.

This month has been CRAZY! The last few weeks have really got me spinning... kinda' like I was in the middle of a hurricane, oh wait! I WAS! And possibly even a tornado. What the DOODLE? Hello everyone! Boy did I miss you guys while on vacation for the past 10 days! I don't think (even in my busiest times) that I have ever been off DK as much as I have during these past 10 days! I have missed many posts and TWO YAPPY HOURS!!! Haven't seen you around much lately. I love your dog's coloring. I had a phantom goldendoodle who died of cancer two years ago. I loved him so much that I have been working with his breeder for two years to get just the dog I wanted. I will pick up the puppy in July and it is a sheepadoodle with a phantom poodle sire.

Hi Shelly! It's been so long since I've been on DK that I don't remember if I responded to thank you for the birthday wishes! Thank you!! The girls are good, don't know if you saw that Chloe had a root canal done $$$$ Now Myla has a big fatty cyst on her tail that the vet said he could remove "if we wanted" not sure what to do on that.
Hope you are having a wonderful summer off! we miss you!! I'm back to work at a new job and I've had zippo DK time:( I have to catch up (again) looks like you went on a cruise?? Enjoy! Love the pics with your kids and yourself and Tori!

I see you just had a birthday Shelly...Happy belated birthday!! I haven't been on dk much in a while. Where does time go? You must be SO anxious for summer vacation! How's Tory? I'd say that Ringo is maturing and showing more self control as he's gotten older but still can be a pretty feisty guy! That's good because I want him to stay young and spirited (mostly ;o)). Our trip to Hawaii is coming up. Which island did you say you went to?

Hi Shelly! It's sooooo nice to hear from you! How is Miss Tori doing these days? We've just come back from a nice stay in the mountains in NC. Had a lovely time, Banjo is a joy to travel with...I can't imagine taking a vacation without him. I guess we'll never get to Italy : ( Hope you and the boys (DH included) are all well. (((HUGS))))
