- Hello! I am 23 and live in Eastern Iowa. I am very active and love to go on runs, rollerblades and bike rides. Besides my Goldendoodle, I have a horse named Peppy who I have had since I was 9 years old. He is my big baby!
- What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
- I just adopted my perfect Goldendoodle, Cooper, from a rescue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is about 1 year old and I am proclaiming his birthday be his "gotchya" day which is May 20th. He loves to run and play and be told he is handsome! Can't wait to see where our adventures take us!
- Where did you get your doodle(s)?
- Shelter, Rescue
- Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
- I grew up around Golden Retrievers and have always loved their personality. I also really loved the idea of less shedding from Poodles. The combination of the two is a winner in my book! Also, you know how they say humans after time start to look more and more like their dogs? Well, I have a head start since Cooper and I both have blonde curly hair!
- What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
- My favorite thing to do with Cooper is to play! He thinks he is very handsome and loves to show off when other dogs and people are around. With that, he enjoys going to farmers markets with me and meeting everyone he can! I am planning on training him to be a Therapy Dog - I believe that would be a favorite activity soon!

- A little bit but nothing major

I Found My Match!

I finally found my perfect Goldendoodle! :) His name is Cooper and I officially ADOPT him Tuesday! I cannot wait! He was a stray in the Twin City area. He was a ragamuffin when I met him yesterday! Can't wait to show him how great a loved dog's life is!

Don't give up hope. Remember you don't know if they'll waive a distant thing unless you ask. The group in Daytona Beach were amazed we were willing to drive that far and bring Gus with us, to make sure they got along, that they were willng to hold her another week for us.
Thanks for the friend request Ellie. Any luck on your doodle search? Definately keep an eye on petfinder. That's where we found our Lilly. She was being fostered by a Boxer rescue group. You also need to think about how far your willing to drive to pick them up. We drove from Maryland to Florida. Which is probably a lot farther than most would, but six years later and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
