Tabitha, this discussion is almost 4 years old, but you can buy California Natural in most smaller pet supply stores. The Company, Natura, which also makes Innova and EVO, was bought out by Procter & Gamble a few years back and many of the formulas have changed.
We have a full list of the premium food brands with links to the websites in The Food Group. The websites have store locators.
We have a very large and active Food Group here on DK with dozens of discussions on this topic.
It's very common for doodle puppies to come home with parasites (giardia is the most common) and that will cause diarrhea. I would not switch foods until after the parasite issue has been resolved, as it will make it more difficult to know what is causing a problem. Panacur and metronidazole are the drugs most often used to treat giardia, coccidia, and other parasites in puppies. Make sure you get a clear fecal culture after completing the meds before switching foods. Did your vet tell you what kind of worms or parasites he is being treated for?
My doodles nibble on grass routinely and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with having or giving upset stomachs.
What medication is he on?
He may need a second round of treatment. Here's some info:

Note that it's fairly easy for the puppy to become recontaminated if you aren't scrupulous about cleaning up after him and supervising him in the yard. I'd make sure to wash all of his bedding, too.
As I mentioned, there is a lot of info in the Food Group about feeding dogs with diarrhea. I would not change his food yet, until you have a clear fecal result, but you can try giving him a spoonful of plain, pure canned pumpkin (not pie filling) with his meals, that may help firm up the stools in the meantime.
Once you get a clear fecal, we can talk about which of the Food Group Recommended Foods might be best for Charley.
