Leaving the TV or Radio on while at work...

Does anyone leave their TV or Radio on for their Doodles while at work all day? There's been so many times when I leave in the mornings that I think, would it really make any difference to them? The house just seems so deathly quiet when I leave. I mean, I realize that they sleep the majority of the day while we are gone, but what about when they are not sleeping? Maddie will actually watch some TV with us if there is some sort of an animal on. Just wondering...

It looks like you have two doodles, so I would think if not sleeping they have each other to play with and keep each other company. I don't think you would need to leave on a radio or TV for them.

We leave the TV on. Originally we did this for Mariner (sight impaired) so that he could use the sound as a reference point so he could figure out where he was.

We leave the Radio on for Tanner while we are gone out...I think that he does get lonesome, home alone.So I turn the radio on for him.

Not sure.... I think it just makes US - humans feel better for some reason?!?!?! Although I think I may have caught my Mocha watching tv before - LOL!! Either way - it doesn't hurt!! Except maybe our elec bills!!

I live on the TV for Winston. I think it helps him since we don't have any other dogs.

I leave my dogs in the yard unless it's very cold, so no tv for them. They are much happier outdoors where they can dig and chase squirrels, or sleep in their dog houses and watch over their territory ;)

I did when Rosco was a young pup until about 5-6 months. Clark works from home so after we got married there hasn't been a need. They are all pretty mellow and sleep most of the day away.

Good, I feel better now! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but somehow it just seems like they are not left completely alone when there's some other noise in the house!!

He he.. I leave the animal channel on for Marley! Not sure if it helps, but I feel better! :) It might entertain him for a minute if a dog comes barking across the screen? Leave your web cam on and tape him? Who knows, maybe you can solve the science for all of us!!! lol. Good luck! :)

We do leave our webcam on Yoda during the day! We leave the TV on because believe it or not he does watch TV with us when we are home. I watch the webcam while I am at work, and he does watch the TV during the day but mostly just sleeps in his doodle pose.

Me too!..I leave Animal Planet on while I'm out!..so funny!..I think Blake actually watches. I caught him a few times glued to the front of the TV as I spied on him through the window...lol
