I know I have mentioned (probably too many times) that my daughter is a vet--she is a dairy vet but also treats other farm animals and horses. There is a Youtube series called "Veterinarians on Call" produced by the Pfizer company and they just released a video of my daughter and her boss and mentor, Dr Pete Ostrum, at work.
If Pete looks a little familiar to some of you, he played Charlie is the old Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie--or maybe it was called Willie Wonka (the one with Gene Wilder) Anyway, that was his only acting job and he dedicated himself to becoming a vet after that.
I just thought some of you might be interested...but truthfully, I am a proud MOM!!!

OMD...makes me glad to be a L&D nurse for humans hehe
How wonderful that your daughter has her dream job and has a soon to be DH to share it with....
Wow, Ginny, you have every right to be proud of your daughter!
Pete would not have looked familiar to me if you hadn't mentioned it, but his story is very interesting as well!
Thanks for sharing.
Pete was just mentioned on AOL 's where are they now! Your daughter is awesome - I loved the picture of her and her fiance too.
How awesome, Ginny! Of course you're proud of your daughter....you certainly should be. Thank you so much for sharing this.
OMD, I enjoyed that. I wanted to be a vet but decades ago it was not realistic for a city girl or so I thought. I recently found out the requirement for a year of farm experience, the kiss of death for me, is no longer a prerequisite for vet school. But that's a little late for me despite what your bright, beautiful and personable daughter has said : ) No wonder you are proud.
Ginny, you must be so proud and congratulations on their engagement! I so enjoyed the video and seeing "Charlie" after all these years too! Thanks for sharing!
What a great video. I see why you are proud of your daughter. It's wonderful that she followed her dream and loves what she is doing. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, you must be so proud! Congrats to them on their engagement!
Thanks everyone! The wedding will probably be in a big field in Vermont (her fiance is from Middlebury, VT and Jen went to college in that town) and there might even be a cow or two in that field--Jen has already said that it will be CASUAL!!
We are very proud of her and someday soon, I might tell you what my son has been up to--another incredible story.
