i tried to do a search and can not see places other than Antler pantry to buy antlers.  I bought one a while back and Cocoa chewed on it then ignored it well now she has eaten a 5 inch elk antler in a week and need to hurry and get more before she gets board.

Where did you get yours at?

I think there are many of us who get them from AnterPantry. Nothing but rave reviews from anyone who has bought from her, myself included.

Is any type better than another?  One last longer than another?

I get ours at Antler Pantry. My dogs prefer the half antlers to the whole antlers.

I bought four at antler pantry over six months ago and they are all still going strong. Are you sure she ate the whole thing so fast? That's pretty crazy! What a chew monster she is!! :)

Do you mean Bella? Oh yes, she is a monster chewer, but actually, Murphy did the most damage to the half antler. I had to take it away from both as it was splintering into little pieces.
It has been mentioned that Elk lasts longer than Deer. I have yet to see a big difference. Other than the split antlers, I do find that they don't last long at all, but I have very strong chewers. Whole Antlers usually last us several months and the split one was gnawed down within two days.
I get them from the Antler Pantry also and have always been very happy with their service and the quality of the antlers. I buy the XL half antlers for both Cooper (50 pounds) and Murphy (15 pounds) but they both are voracious chewers so anything smaller wouldn't last very long. Once the antlers lose their initial flavor, I soak them in warm water and then let them dry and it renews the flavor. I tried the whole antlers once but neither of the dogs were interested in them so only get the halves now.

What we have now is a cut of a elk antler so maybe that's why she is chewing it so fast.  I am putting a order in for some large ones.  Do dogs cut any teeth in around 9mo?  she seems to have this strong urge to have to chew right now.

I get mine at centinela pet feed but They might just be in la or ca. Try any specialty pet food stores/boutiques or I think I saw some over priced ones at pet smart if you absolutely want one ASAP. ;)

I got a bag of elk antlers for about $60.00, I will have enough to last me until the next ice age.  I got them on line but don't remember the place.  It did have products from US thought.  Sorry I could not be much help.

Antler Pantry -- I got straight sections, split in half.  And part of my shipping charge was returned, in cash, as the shipping cost less than the standard charge!

Lindsey, if you're looking for other vendors for antlers, in addition to antlerpantry.com, here are a few:

http://www.bullysticks.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&S...

http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=24157

http://www.amazon.com/Antler-Chew-X-Large-Long-Piece/dp/B004JB7GC6

http://www.elkusa.com/antler-chew.html?gclid=CNDW8qOkiLICFaNeTAod3l...

I usually use antlerpantry.com myself.

Whatever vendor you buy from, you want to make sure that the antlers are sourced in North America, naturally shed from the deer (not harvested), and not preserved with any chemicals.

Hope this helps!
