Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Izzy's coat is a dead ringer for a Scottish Highland Cow - sans the horns. (Google this amazing creature) Does anyone have a photo of a heavy fleece multi generational Labradoodle with a summer cut? I've never seen one. Just the curly wool. The heat is beginning in Houston - this is her first year with her adult coat.

That's a fantastic cut...love it.
Awwww - he is adorable. I love his lavender/grey coat! Gorgeous color.
I'd like to see the highland cow picture!
My doods are all cut super short. I have no time for grooming.
Lisa, I just checked out Izzy's current coat length (Happy 1st Birthday, Izzy!), and she's gorgeous! Oscar is a multi-gen LD (not Australian, though) with a curly, not wooly, coat and I keep him as short as possible. His hair mats something fierce after a certain length. Here's a couple cuts over the past 6 mos.
He is adorable! The groomer said just shaving her belly will cool her for the summer - she has to go once a week now to be de-matted. Maintenance.
Myla is a goldendoodle but I gotta tell you that we have a herd of Scottish Highlander cows behind our yard and their calves look identical to Myla! They come right up to the fence to check Myla out because they think she is one of them - Myla still barks at them but she is going closer and closer to check them out - we usually make sure she stays away from the fence because the cows have the huge horns and can do some serious damage if they want to. I'll try to get a picture!
He has Izzy's face. Velvet underneath all the hair!
Beautifully haunting photo...
