I am wanting to try bark box, but I've read some reviews that are not reflecting my expectations.

I have an avid chewer. Some of the reviews are saying they send stuffed toys which are chewed up in seconds. That they've contacted the company and customer service says they will make note of it, but that the boxes sent never had appropriate toys.

Cancellation only cancels the automatic renewal? So, if you aren't happy and you sign up for a year - you are stuck with it?

Anyone have experiences to share regarding bark box?

I personally prefer to buy things I select when I want to.
Those are my thoughts. My hubby likes the idea of Barkbox, so that's why I'm looking into it.

Me too, F.  I think you mostly pay for stuff you wouldn't purchase.

I've never used them, probably depends on expectations.  And when it comes to toys I think MOST dog toys aren't necessarily intended as 'chew toys' but toys you use to play with your dog.  I just rarely buy toys because I don't play those kinds of games with my dogs.  But I can see some squeaky toys being good for fetch or as a reward that lasts one minute and then you take it away.

Since you sign up according to how aggressive your dog is with chewing, I assumed it would be chew toys.

I play a lot with Gracie. We have lots of chew toys and then other toys are meant for playing only and then they are put away.

I used it for a couple of months and was frustrated.  I only signed up for 3 months to make sure that I would like the service and I didn't renew.  While the toys were fine, and some of them turned out to be favorites, neither of my dogs liked even half of the treats they sent.  Since it was one toy and lots of treats, that made it a pretty big waste of money.

Thanks for the feedback. It is good to hear. I'm leery of these once a month boxes as it is, but people seem to like them in all different categories.
I have a friend that gets a bark box and her dog is a medium dog that is a average chewer and she loves it. But looking through her boxes they seem to be stuff that Loki and even Moose- 3mth puppy, would shred in seconds. I know you pick the size, and play style ect of your dog but I can't imagine that the quality of "chew toys" would improve so much just by checking a different box.. I mean technically her dog is 15lbs heavier than Moose and while Moose is a much more aggressive chewer, the box would be gone in seconds in my opinion. I am trying to find someone who has gotten either a pup pack or pup box to see if there is more luck with them.
I think I will just stick to a treat and toy budget each month and buy the stuff that I want for Gracie. It seems the best way to do it. I'm just not always thrilled with what I see in the stores.
However, today I went the the store and saw the very first rope ball we bought Gracie, man that thing looks tiny now. ;)
Oh that's so cute! And I understand about the stores, I feel like it's constant trial and error to find good ones!

Ragley and I are affliliated with a different monthly subscription box, but I do have experience with BarkBox and found that at least one or two items in each box each month either did not meet my standards quality wise or was not appropriately sized for my dog even though I had specified her size when ordered. I will say that BarkBox has fantastic customer service, though. The new type that I am getting I prefer over the others I have tried. Ragley, however, is not a destructive chewer at all and loves her stuffed toys intact :)

Know nothing about Bark Box.  But do know any Zogoflew toy is great for an avid chewer.
