Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Want to share a nice experience I had yesterday at the airport when I went to pick up DH. I took Murphy (1yr old Goldendoodle, apricot,55pds) and Marley (2 yr old Goldendoodle, white, 70 pds) with me in the car and parked in the Cell Phone Lot to wait for plane to come in.
I rolled down the windows, as it was a gorgeous day here and I look over to the car parked next to me and the man is holding up a very professional camera, shooting pictures of the two doods hanging their heads out the window. He said "They are beautiful, do you mind if I take their picture?" "Well ofcourse not ", being the proud mama that I am, I was flattered.

So feeling good about that, I went to pick up DH at the arrival area, and open the back hatch where two very excited doodles are jumping all over their daddy, when ANOTHER gentleman comes up to the car with a camera and says "I have a ALD at home and I love the look of these with the shorter coats, Can I take their picture?" "Well, OFCOURSE you may"....
So now my doodles have to watch out for paparazzi following them....never know when someone is going to want a picture....

How's that for having a feel-good morning with your doodles????

What's a cell phone lot? Where people call to tell you they've arrived?
They had one at the Orlando Airport when I lived there. You are exactly right .... just a place to wait for whomever you are picking up to call and say "we are here". Then you pull up to the arrival area and pick them up. Keeps people from circling and waiting in the arrival area.
Wish we had one.
Yes, it's fairly new in a lot of big airports. Works great!!! Plus they have the 800#s of all the Airlines posted so you can all to get the latest updates on the flight you're waiting for. Well they did in Palm Beach.
Yes, I love days like that. Whenever we take Darwin to our outdoor mall, we get stopped by everyone and people always want to introduce him to their kids, pet him, and get him to sit. It's so fun for Darwin and we are so proud of how good he is with everyone. We have never had his picture taken though....that is so cool!
What a Great morning!!! It's nice to hear Good things, thanks for sharing.
What a great day! Your doods are so cute, it must've felt great to share that cuteness with others! :-)
Yes, it made my day. OH...I forgot, later that afternoon, as we were walking from the mailbox, a lady stopped her car in the middle of the street and I could see her say, before she rolled down the window.,,,"I LOVE those dogs". then she asked me what they were. Real traffic stoppers aren't they? I think the size catches peoples eyes first, then the cuteness takes over!!!
So cute! I always tell people to be prepared to get stopped often when they have a doodle. They really are head turners!!
Awww, that is AWESOME!! When I walk Samson in the campground, everyone asks me what kind of dog he is. They say he is beautiful!! I think so too!!! LOL!
what a lovely way to start your day!!! Heart bursting with pride - as it should!
Doesn't that give you a good feeling :-) People just seem to be drawn to these doodles. Love it and you should be proud of them.
