It's not only the dogs who are in danger. I just signed:

Can you believe it? Gads... Some days my hands are glad that I sign things with the click of a button....
I know what you mean. And I wonder if it does any good but then you read some success stories for petitions.
Signed.
Yep, as long as price is the most important factor in our purchase decisions, this is what we will get.

I am not at all surprised. I bought a routisserie (sp?) chicken at Costco for my dogs and husband last week and it was obvious that HUGE chicken has never been out of her cage. Besides that, she had been fed hormones. The meat and bones were so soft. I knew just from looking at the meat that it was not something I wanted to eat, but the dogs loved it. It is only going to get worse, folks. The processing of our food, the food we feed our families, and things we feed our dogs is all on a downslide. I was looking at the after-school snacks the kids were eating on Tuesday and asked them what the things that looked like chicken nuggets were. None of them knew, but they were eating them. Scary.

I totally thought this was going to be a recipe ;)

Truly horrifying. This was brought to my attention a short time ago and I can't remember if I signed a petition at that time or not...so I went ahead and signed or signed again, whatever the case may be. Thanks for posting this F, we all need to stay vigilant on issues that effect our food supply as those who are paid to watch over it seem to be looking the other way.
Signed.
Pork. Our pigs have also been purchased by the Chinese.
In May, China bought Smithfield Foods

On Wednesday, Virginia-based Smithfield Foods (SFD, Fortune 500), the world's largest processor of pork, announced that it was being bought by Chinese meat producer Shuanghui International for nearly $5 billion. It is the biggest announced acquisition of a U.S. company by a Chinese buyer.
