College Applications

Hello all my lovely DK friends!

I'm sorry that Sunny and I have been absent on DK for a while. She told me I was neglecting you all, but I had to get some important things done before I could play, and she can't figure out how to work the laptop by herself.

Anyway, I am back until final exams (then I'll disappear for a week or so) and wanted to let you all share in my nervous excitement. I APPLIED TO UNIVERSITIES THIS WEEK!

I sent in my applications to the University of North Carolina and NC State yesterday, and immediately after I hit the "submit" button to my application for UNC, I felt queasy. That's the school my parents both went to, and it's my top choice.

Michael, That sounds incredibly frustrating and stressful, but from all I have read and heard going to a junior college will give you a leg-up in being accepted. You are probably stressing when there is no need. Easy for me to say when it isn't me making the application. Here is a favorite quote of mine:

Seems NC State should easily accept you again, especially with 2 years already done. Shows stick-to-it-to-ness!

I GOT INTO NC STATE!!!

Only a week or so after my transcripts made it to the undergraduate admissions office, I got my online acceptance letter!!

It's not my top choice, but it's great to have an acceptance that I can rely on for the fall semester. That's a load off my mind! Now I don't have to worry too badly about what I'm going to do after this semester. If I don't get accepted at UNC, then I'm going to NC State.
