OMD Jane, that is so true!!!!!!  Sometimes I think I'm his pillow!  And here I thought I was alpha dog ;)  But he's such a snuggled, I love it.

Our doodle will come to bed until he is hot, jumps off,

No luck here. Jelly is almost 2 hrs and 70 lbs. She follows us to bed, jumps up and down a few times, pins us down with her paws for petting and more petting, slaps us in the head, curls at the end of the bed like a cruel joke, and then leaps off and tears down the hallway to the family room with tile floor. That's where she is waiting for us every morning without fail. The only way we can get her to lay still on the bed is if the tv is on. She watches tv, but once you turn that sucker off, she's outta there :)

Stephanie, I lOVE Jellybean's name!

In our home it is do the doodles let you sleep in 'their' bed - WOL!!

Each one has their favorite place to sleep - Samantha at my feet, Mickey on DH pillow and Charli spoons me. They slept in our bed once they were potty trained which didn't take long.

All 3 decided that my daughter, Marissa (Mickey's Mom) went to bed too early so at 2am they jumped in bed and woke her with lots of doodle kisses

My dogs sleep with me only when my boyfriend is out of town. :) They normally just like to lay nearby without touching me. Hops lets me wrap an arm around him in the morning when he's too sleepy to care, but normally he'd move away to a different corner of the bed if I'm touching him. The boys know that when I allow them on the bed that it's for sleep time, so they always get in their spots and go to sleep. They also never jump on the bed until I'm on it and give them permission.

We got Harlow as an older puppy from up north (we live in GA).  It wasn't until the weather turned cold that she would climb in bed with us.  She is 3 now and still doesn't sleep in bed with us during the summer months but snuggles back in when the weather turns cooler.

I think it's hard to say.  Some are born snugglers and others like their space.  Finn was crated until about 5-6 months but once he was allowed, he snuggled right in.  He is a bit of a bed hog though LOL

Daphne is 5 1/2 months old and has been sleeping in our bed since she was about 4 months old. She loves to sleep with us and never ( I think) gets off the bed in the night but she is not a snuggler, which I hate! She sleeps down by our feet and very rarely gets in between us. I really was hoping she would snuggle next to me too. Im hoping maybe she will when she gets a little older . She also is not an early riser. When DH has to get up early for work, she makes no attempt to get out of her comfy bed. She is content to sleep a little longer till I wake up around 8am to take her outside. She is happy to do her business and then get right back in bed if my schedule for the day allows us to.

We still have Darwin sleep in his crate. I couldn't handle the jumping on and off, scratching, and panting through the night. LOL. He loves being in his crate though, it's his comfort zone.

Ollie is in his crate at night too. He knows its time to sleep that way. He is a cuddler, which is great, but at night I like to sleep. I think we are both cooler and more comfortable this way...plus he does not wake me up as early as he would if he were out of the crate.
