Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This article and accompanying video is about a Canadian college that has set up a "puppy room" for college kids as a way to relieve stress--this topic has been discussed before and this is something that I do with my red doodle named Mattie--she loves it and it is just like what they show in the video, although NO ONE waits an hour to get in as they did at this school. We go to State University of NY at Albany, which has thousands of students--but still, it doesn't get this crowded!
Anyway, if you watch the embedded video, you will see what MUST be a doodle at around 20 seconds in and again near the end--cute little guy too!

Gavin, Give a bark here
from your lips to dog's ear
Man, I could really use this at my college right now. Finals week! Luckily I have an adorable dood at home. :-)
Good luck Camilla.
I gotta tell you Ginny, the coverage this has been getting has been unbelievable. It has been on Live with Kelly and Michael and all over the internet. It has given my campaign to get Gavin into the college a huge leg up. I have been inundated with requests for visits to the various programs and campuses in the past two weeks after me spending considerable time providing research and convincing the powers that be that this program was "for real."
I wish I had a dollar for every student that said "you made my day." Tomorrow night we are going to the student residence to visit. That should be fun. One perk, after visiting the digital photography class, the teacher asked if he could set up a photo shoot for Gavin so that the students could practice. Pretty cool eh?
Thanks for posting this and sharing your college experience with me :)
Oh, that is so great! We go back on Wednesday and I am really looking forward to it--FINALS week! Lots of stressed out kids and one friendly doodle!!
Oh, and the funny thing is this is not news! it has been going on for quite some time in the US but no one seems to know it!
Terrific.
We had a discussion about this some time ago and I did go to the Student's Affairs office (along with Monty) at our university only to first hear that "he really should not be there since there is food prepared in this building" (3 stories down), and that "we really don't handle this, perhaps you should see the Disabilities office". Ugh!
Where did you start, BG? I would really love to do this with Monty every semester.
Must keep training Charlie, must keep training Charlie.... so much work to do, but he would LOVE this kind of therapy work. Someday!
