Doodle in a NC high kill shelter!

She's a chocolate female about 2-4 years old, and she looks so sad to be in one of the worst high kill shelters in North Carolina. This shelter kills EVERY animal in their facility EVERY Wednesday.

 

There is a doodle backyard breeder somewhere in Harnett County that keeps breeding and dumping dogs at the shelter where they are killed if they aren't pulled or rescued. It makes me so angry!!!!

It may actually be a good thing that you didn't need to take the dog for 2 weeks. She seemed to be reactive to other dogs. I introduced her calmly to my dog, Sunny, and she snapped and growled at her, attempting to do some damage. Of course, she was stressed and fearful, but I wouldn't want to take a risk!

Watching and reading here from Canada and I wish I could help.  Thanks to all of you and I hope Michael that you get the chocolate tomorrow or asap from this so called "woman".  I can think of a better name for her.

This is amazing!  Reading from the WEST COAST, it's amazing to read about how people come together to help out when there is a need.  What an amazing group of people on DK.  Full of heart, love and compassion.    If there is ever a need on the WEST COAST, please let me know!

Any update as to when the chocolate is getting picked up?  Just worried that this horrible woman might sell him to someone else because of her Craigslist ad.

I picked "Roxy" up this morning.  She is a very sweet and pretty girl and did great in the car.

I dropped her off with Michael and we'll see when the transport to GA can begin.

It was a real great experience to assist in a rescue......I hope to do it again whenever needed! :-)

Thanks for letting us know Monica.  What a relief !  I had a bad feeling when Michael said that the lady cancelled on him about the time he was going to pick her up.

FYI;  Michael is a "her" not a "him".  A very sweet, tiny ,little her.  Michael is about the size of a little p-nut....I have no clue how a heart that big got into such tiny sweet girl!  God bless you Michael for all you do.
