Doodle portraits - look what I got for my birthday!

My neighbor, Jean Townsend, is an artist. She does a lot of pet portraits these days, which you can see at http://looloopaintingcompany.com/petgallery.html. For my birthday, she surprised me with this beautiful painting of Sidiqi, which makes me cry every time I see it. Isn't it gorgeous? I told Jean I was going to post the picture here in case anyone on DoodleKisses wants to buy a pet portrait. The cost is $300, which I think is very reasonable for an original piece of art that's going to make you feel happy the rest of your life.

Wow- she really captured Sidiqi in this portrait!! The eyes, nose and tongue are incredible. It looks like he is going to lick us in the face at any minute. She really captured that rascal face that doodles have. Happy birthday and enjoy. I will surely look up her website. I would love to have a portrait done of Thomas-that is if I can get a picture of him to send when he is clean!
