You can use a 50/50 mixture of white meat chicken, ground turkey, or very lean beef (90% lean or better) and sweet potatoes. You will need to feed approximately twice the amount that you normally feed, since homemade food has only about half the calories of most kibbles. There is a lot of information about food and feeding, including homemade food, in The Food Group here.
It would also be a good idea to order some Proviable DC probiotics. Most dogs do need to be on a good probiotic any time they are taking antibiotics. Be sure to give the Proviable at least 2 hours apart from the antibiotics, and longer is better.
If you search for a recent discussion called, "Their Poop is Like Pudding," you'll find a host of recommendations. What ultimately worked for my dogs (thanks to some very knowledgeable and concerned folks here on DK) was a combination of ground chicken breast, combined with boiled white rice and mashed sweet potatoes, in a 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 ratio. I added water to the mixture, since they were losing so much fluid, and sprinkled a capsule's worth of Proviable DC probiotics on each meal. For treats, I gave a couple of spoonfuls (in the palm of my hand) of the rice/chicken/potato blend. I hope that your sweet girl starts to feel better soon.
Thank you so much and my sweet girl aka Misty-Moo thanks you
Don't worry too much about varying her diet. Most dogs thrive on the same food day after day.
I use Science Diet ID Kibble, Rice, chicken (baked and run through the food processor), a tablespoon or two of canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix - just plain pumpkin) and add a capsule of non-flavored metamucil...
