Hi everyone,

My vet (who in the past only recommended and personally used Frontline for ticks) says she has switched over to Nexgard, a chewable pill. She says the drug has been around for years in Europe, and the only known side effect in some dogs is slight stomach upset that passes. (Aside from it being a pesticide, right?) She says it works as well as Frontline (but needs 24 hours to kick in) without the hazardous exposure of pesticides to the skin or the humans around the dog. Just wondering if anyone has tried it?

Thanks!

My vet gave me a couple of samples last time I was in but I haven't used them. I think, as of now I will stick with Frontline.

Here's a prior discussion:http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/is-anyone-using-nexgard-or...

I'm still trying to decide if I want to try it.

I am using it for Bailey.  So far so good!  I was impressed with the info about Nexgard being used in Europe for years and about the degree of testing it went through.

We've used it for the last several months with our three and have had no problems so far.  Have not seen any fleas but the season is just starting to get bad here so we will see how it turns out.
