Anyone have a cavi-poo-chon?  I agree that is pretty darn cute.  See the article linked below.

Well, that's the idea - creating a dog who will always look like a puppy.  Same idea as a puggle.

I guess don't see the point of "creating" these tiny mixes. Almost every adult Yorkie I've ever seen looks like a puppy, ditto most Maltese, Havanese, Cotons, Westies, and the list goes on. There are tons of toy purebreds that retain that puppyish look, all non-shedding, and unlike these, they can be found through really top-notch breeders with excellent pedigrees and health clearances, for a lot less money. Personally, I think puggles are aptly named, lol; not my idea of a cute dog at all. These cavapoochons look like scraggly Yorkies to me. To each his own, indeed.

Cavaliers and Bichons also retain puppyish looks.

Yes they do :)

Here's my first dog Yoshi (a Bichon) at 16 years old:

Aww, J ;)

Aww!

Oh, this is sweet!

Adorable!! ALL OF THEM!

Wow, never heard of that one. Very cute! My boys were also too cute when they were still "mini". Come to think of it, they are still cute as "maxi" as well. :-)

These pop up in our local paper frequently - very cute photo and adorable dog.

Frankly, I don't know what I think anymore - - between our human penchant for creating helpless creatures, to the dabbling in changing their features and functions - mixed breed or pure - rescue or purchase.

I have also seen such a nasty decline in the little dogs - tiny things with bug eyes and nervous systems like hot buttons. GSD's that can barely walk - -oh it gets me going sometimes.  Yet here we are with a creation of two breeds, chosen, that makes us dabblers.  The Cavaliers who have barely room for their brains, the poor Yorkies that would fall into a hole rather than go in after something.

Guess I just ran out of words and will shake my head, I love them all, but I do think humans are the strangest species of all.

I saw this yesterday. Precious. As the ownee of 2 doodles, I certainly won't have any negative comments about anyone wanting to "mix & match" to develop what they believe will be the "perfect" dog for them. I know that many believe that you should only rescue, never buy - but hopefully we are all tolerant of those who do. Still think this wee one is adorable.

The bottom line, at least at the moment as my coffee cup cries for a refill - - human beings have the capacity to love. We have the compassion, the intelligence, and as long as we can find it in our heart to spread our love to other creatures (including humans)   then the world can keep turning.
