The doggies in our house go out for about a minute and a half and they say "0h Nilly" ....the Animal Emergency group in our area sent out an email w/ link to some great information to all of their clients regarding this cold weather and our pets.
Thanks for posting this, Deb! It's important to know.
Our actual temperature here at the moment is 2 degrees, with windchills in the 15-20 below range. Jack went out for about 5 minutes a little while ago, and he looked like he was limping...he was trying to pick his paws up because they were so cold! He came right to the door the minute he was finished...no running in the yard today!
It is -10 Celsius here, with a wind chill of -21 Celsius. Toby is still galavanting around the yard. He's been on two walks - no big deal. Every time he goes out he rolls in the snow. I'm guessing he's not affected much by the cold???? :)
Abby too here in Minnesota... she potties and makes one mad zoomie through the yard and comes right back to the deck, lifting her paws. She hates coming in. It's a whole 5 degrees right now but we are going to warm up a little (very little) in the next few days. High of 7 tomorrow and maybe 14 on Saturday. woohoo!!! Heat Wave!!
I thought potty training in this weather was the best. It is not nice, but they get the idea quick. Real Quick.
Idea: go outside, get it done, and we can go back in. Also the yellow snow can be easily found and you can take the pup right to it.
Good Luck
