Let's REALLY get to know each other.

Between getting to know everyone with Yappy Hour and the game of 3 truths and one lie, there is so much to learn about everyone and there are some really interesting and talented people on DK. I would love to know some of the vital statistics like: Age, Married, Children, their ages, professions, hobbies, a dream or goal you have before you get too old to do it. Things that aren't on our profile page already. With all the photos of ourselves we can now put the whole picture of the DK member together.

I'll start:

I am 57 and have been married to my highschool sweetheart for 39 years this May. We have two grown children, Michele 36 and Erik 30 who are both married and live nearby in Az. We have one grandson, Ethan,20 months old, who is my sunshine. I am a Labor and Delivery Nurse, somewhat semi retired and DH is a retired Fire Fighter. I love to make quilts and give one to every family member and so far have about 16 done and about 23 to go. I love to run, work out, be outdoors, garden, read, and spend time with family and doodles. One of my biggest goals is to hike the Grand Canyon rim to rim and also to see Europe someday. Other than that, my dream of being a mom and grandmother is being realized every day.

Thank you Debbie! I completely agree with you. I have in my head an idea of how everyone looks, how old they are, etc. A perception based on their posts on DK. In the last few months when we've started to learn more about all of the members, I've been shocked more than once! It's a very interesting dynamic isn't it?

It certainly is interesting Camilla. I should post about myself and see if u are shocked about me. haha  It is interesting though about the perception we have about people who we only know online.  I assumed you were much older than you are....but I am happy to say my surprise to learn you are 21 only increased my admiration for you.  Most of the girls I know that are your age are partying at clubs and are probably hung over today!! (my sisters daughters) They would never be responsible enough to be married and love an adorable dog.  Koodos to you again.

I'd say it was VERY good for someone who didn;t know Texas at all. GOod for you,. So you have 11 wks to wait for your Hattie? 3 weeks plus the 8 wks old to leave the litter. The waiting was the hardest part I thought but you will have plenty of company and empathy on here. FYI, use the search option for a lot of your questions as they have probably been asked before and you can learn so much from those posts and discussions.  Oh, and WELCOME

Oh....dear...now don't get me in trouble here....I'm a happily married woman.    I actually started to "reveal" myself here...but it felt so strange....and reminiscent of when I did do Match.com........that's how DH and I met over 10 years ago.
