Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

OMG there are two Labradoodles found this evening wandering around together lost.  One is black with grey the other is more reddish cream color.  They are such nice dogs.  I drove around our neighborhood, and the neighborhood behind us.  A guy on our street asked me if I'd lost mine because he knew I had one because he saw them loose.  I'd be going out of my mind.  The were pretty dirty as it has been raining and storming here.  Anyhow the woman said she'll put them in her garage, but she notified the Hamilton Humane Society, and the Vet around the corner.  They were not chipped nor did they have tags.  I told her to contact me if she didn't find their owner so that I could contact the Doodle Rescue.  She didn't want to give me her street number, but I got it and know where she lives and where they are, but that's it.

Also the dogs know each other so I think that they are very bonded...  I hope someone comes looking for them :-(

Hopefully their family will find them.  Keep us posted.
Hoping that these doodles find their way back to their family. Looking forward to a happy ending for this story.
I pray she does not take them to the shelter!
That's what was worrying me, and she didn't seem like she wanted my help too much.  At least I got her street no. from her.  She was driving them around in the car through both neighborhoods, and I was driving around too.  I know there is a family that has a few Doodles, and I knew somewhat where they lived, but not exactly so I was driving around there.  She told me the Hamilton Humane Society was full!!!!!  I'm sure she would have left them there if they weren't!!!  I hope she hangs on a while.  I told her that I would help her through the Doodle Rescue, but she didn't seem too interested.

Also I drove by her house and she had them tied up outside the front of her house.  They would have been better in my backyard!!!  I'm afraid there's not much more I can do.  I put an add on Petfinder already.  Hopefully someone will look.  I hope they weren't dumped.  I just can't believe they didn't have a collar or microchip.

Oh Goodness, poor things, I hope their family is looking for them, it will be so joyous for everyone when they reunite!
I will keep you all posted.  Please pass the word along if you are in the area...
Why wouldnt she want you to know where she lives? I hope she doesnt plan on selling them! Id keep an eye on them, if they are still tied up outside id go again and offer to take them in til DRC can get them! Keep us updated!
I'm working on it!!!  I told her that I know where they could get the proper help if the owners aren't found.  I'll remind her again.  I could even keep them here at my work in my office (very large) until I work things out.  (it's our own business)  It's air conditioned with a kitchen, TV etc... I only live 7 minutes away and could keep them very comfortable until I find someone to help them.  I would take them in myself, but I don't think I can take both and I really think they are very bonded.  They might even be mother and child is what I'm thinking.  I have cats and I'm not sure if they are cat friendly either.  I know one thing.  I wouldn't bring them to a shelter EVER!!!!  So many people are just letting their animals go in this economy.  It's crazy.
Hopefully the reason she had them tied up in front is so anyone driving around looking for them would be able to see them better.  I'm trying to be optimistic and think she took them out of the front yard later in the evening.  I hope the owners find them or the lady contacts you instead of taking them to a shelter.
This lady who found them seems off.......if she really did contact a humane society, wouldn't they want to take the dogs immediately?  Although I'm happy that they are not in the shelter, it does seem this woman has something else on her mind....selling them maybe?  I don't want to be pessimistic, but why would someone pick up dogs to "save them" and then tie them up on her front lawn?? Hoping their family finds them soon!!
