Kids and puppies.  My sons didn't appreciate the dogs when they were kids so much.  They honestly did not know what great dogs they had because the dogs were just brothers to them.  The care was done by me.  But I set the examples.

But as they grew older, you could see the love.  These same dogs that came to them in grade school took them half way through their college years.  It was what they wanted to go back home to and ask about during phone calls.
