MEET SCOUT

[Nancy, Ned, Clancy, and Charlie]

Meet Scout - a 1 1/2 year old 25 pound scrumptiously black doodle. She is one of the newest fosters in the DRC program.  Who could resist this face?

Yesterday we transported this darling girl between foster homes.  She has the most beautiful and expressive face and those eyes - would melt concrete. 

All she wants is to be loved. Every time we made eye contact her little tail wagged.  She is truly tempting my personal dog quota. 

Oh, BTW,  this girl knows how to travel! While Ned does vertical leaps into/out of the back of the SUV, Scout daintily waits for an assist by her minions.   She and Ned seriously snoozed for hundreds and hundreds of miles through the 'boring' parts of California (i.e. the 5), occasionally checking out the scenery or coming to the front of the vehicle for a head scratch.

Thanks Nancy, for posting this.  Yes, she is a great little dog and I'm sure ready for her furever home.  I, also, would have kept her in a minute but had just adopted another dog.  She is definitely a sweetheart.

Jake wants everyone to know that black rescue doodles make the most loving wonderful pets. He earned a place in our hearts and pack when we were solidly planning on being a two doodle family. I hope someone scoops this black beauty up! Perhaps Ned and Clancy need a sister....................

Oh and nice pictures. It's incredibly hard to take a good picture of a black doodle, but when that pick tongue comes of it make the best pics! :)
