On the Couch???

Do you let your doodle(s) on the couch or other furniture. Rosey and Bandit can get on the couch and the bed.  I love snuggling on the couch and in bed with them.  What are your doodle's rules?

Yes for the couch and No for the bed. I have leather couch, so it doesn't really matter.... I can always wipe it clean, if her feet happened to be yucky.

Cooper will jump on the bed and lay there while i get ready in the morning.  But she isnt too interested in  the bed, she preferes to sleep under it. 

 

She does sleep on the couch, which is really a futon. She likes to look out the window. We have a throw on it so its easy to clean. When she was little she wasnt allowed except with permission, so now when we tell her to get off she does.

We recently started inviting Ollie onto the couch. It is leather so we are not too worried. He was not too interested at first but we love having him next to us so we invited him. Now he loves it. He is not allowed on the bed,

We just bought new leather furn.(bonded leather) i'ts a little tougher than leather I think. And the reason we went with leather is ,Chesney is a sofa buddy and that's fine withus he also loves the bed for play time and sniggle time but he would rather sleep uder the bed.Idon'nt mind him on the furn.at all,no shedding,no chewinng so far so good.But I do keep covers close by just incase they are needed.

Rua & PuffDog let us live in their house.  PuffDog (the cat) has always been permitted on couches, chairs & beds.  Rua can get up on the couches but we have to bring her up on the bed since it is 3' off the floor.  I only give her a PB kong in her crate, I give her baths if she gets dirty (or I stand her in the laundry tub and just wash her feet) and I have to admit that I will wipe feet when she comes into the house if it is wet out.  Since she came in September, we haven't had to deal with mud.

For those of us who allow our Doodles to be on the bed, have you found that they prefer the "warm spot"?  If my guys are on the bed, and I get up for something they both love to move to the spot where I was.  They fight over who will take the spot I vacated.  I'm assuming it must be because it's warm, but I don't really know.  When I come back to bed, they both move....but they sure want that spot.

Daisy is allowed on any thing she wants to be on - she does not like the couch, the big chair, the bed. She just likes her crate and her bed. We use to bring her on the couch (never the bed, DH totally against that) when she was little and bought a ton of after Christmas blankets from Walmart last year to protect it but once she was able, off she went. I secretly wish she would come onto the bed to snuggle but she doesn't. She will put her front half on the bed to bring us a ball or try to get us to play but never gets on. This is as close as it gets.
