We are getting a new car - a Nissan Rogue - and are searching for a good seat cover. Anyone have any recommendations?

Get something that's easy to take out, wash, and put back in, lol. I personally favor old blankets...fast, easy, cheap, and you don't feel too bad when they get trashed.
Congrats on the new wheels, too!
I bought this seat cover. I like it but I still cover the seat part with a sheet because that is easy to toss on and remove. I got the cover at Amazon.
Solvit 62283 Deluxe Bench Seat Cover
Drs. Fosters and Smith online have a nice one. I have one in green that has never fit my car (measured wrong) sitting around, but don't recall it's size. Anyway, it appears to be good quality!
I think we are going to buy this one for Darwin. He always falls into the front seat when we stop, and I think it will make him much more comfortable. It has great reviews too...

Orvis sells great stuff. I've bought shearling slippers and gloves from them, and it's better quality than anything else I've seen.
I have this and my Frankie adores it. She used to hate car rides as she is so very large the seats are just way too uncomfortable for her. Then I got that seat cover and it not only protects my cream leather back seat from dirty paws, drool etc. it also makes her so very comfortablend she too lies down to sleep without having to worry about falling off if I break sharply. It was pricey but well worth the money spent and does wash up nicely.
We got our seat cover from Orvis. It works great! Goes on easy, come off easy, washes easy and protects my leather seats big time.
We just put a king size fitted sheet over the bench seat. It fits perfectly.
I definitely need to get something more permanent. I have large black trash bags under my seat that I keep reusing !!
I have a VW Touareg that is a very nice deluxe mini SUV with leather seats. I never would have thought I would have a dog in my lovely car but it is Gracie's main car since our Ford Explorer which has "4Gracee" license plates on it is up in San Jose, CA with our daughter until they can afford a second car. I have the Canine Seat Covers that are custom made specifically to your make, year and model of car. They are not cheap but I can guarantee that they work. My backseat is just like new and Gracie has been riding in my car for almost three years. They are nicely fitted and don't buckle up or slide around and the dirt and sand does NOT fall through. I have even washed them with Ivory soap in my washer and draped over patio furniture to dry. No shrinking...nothing. They clean up beautifully. I couldn't be happier with them. I have tried some of the other covers in our Explorer and they keep sliding around and Gracie can feel them sliding and is unsure when she is in the car. She does not like them but she loves the Canine Covers. Here is the website that I ordered mine from. I did get the custom ones which are the first of the four and are the most expensive. To me it is well worth it because they fit so well, are easy to install and they look very nice. Also very easy to vacuum. They don't suck up in the vacuum. Also, there are velcro sections so if you have the 60/40 split seats you can unvelcro one side and split the seat. There also are flaps that velcro over the seat belt hole so you don't get dirt and grit in the seat belt mechanisms. They also make covers for the side doors so if the dog is looking out the window they don't scratch the wood trim or leather on the doors. I think mine were 2 for $25. Be sure to check them out! Oh, and they are great with the grandkids when they visit. I can put their car seats in and that way I don't have to worry about food or drinks spilling. Since they wipe up nicely and vacuum nicely, your passengers can sit right on them unless you have a dog that sheds! I don't remove mine when I have passengers in the back seat though it is not that often. I notice that the price has increased on both items since I ordered mine!!!
