So after finding out that the puppy I picked and fell for has a murmur I really wanted to work with my breeder to figure out how best for me to care for him...but they decided to keep him...

I am crushed. 

I really thought he was mine. 

 

This is where I am asking you all for help...I have a home all ready for a puppy and would really like to get one soon. I am looking for a mini red goldendoodle...in Texas (or willing to ship the puppy here)...does anyone know of a good breeder? (Please private message me if you do)...

Rachel I don't know of a puppy, but I am sorry that this happened to you. I do believe that an ethical breeder would not sell a puppy if she had concerns about his health - so it might be for the best in the long run. There are so many people on DK who are wired into breeders and litters, I am sure that your  puppy will find you soon.

You must be so crushed. im so sorry. Do they not have a different dog they could sell you? Or have first pick for the next litter. You have to remind yourself that its worth waiting for the right puppy.

Be sure to check out the Goldendoodles for Sale Group and see if you come up with anything. All of those breeders have to answer questions specific to the recommended guidelines to look for by DK.  So sorry about your puppy, but for some reason that just wasn't meant to be.  Just remember what my Mother always told me "You want it bad, you get it bad", so don't go making any crazy decisions while you are anxious about not getting your puppy.  The right little puppy will find its way into your home.

Thanks! I checked them out. Still waiting to figure out what is next with the breeder. I don't want to make a rushed choice when health is concerned, but I also don't want to not take the right puppy just because he isn't "perfect." It is so hard to know the "right" choice.

Rachel - I too am deeply sorry for the pain and disappointment that this has caused you.  I really have to respect the breeder for not selling you a puppy that has a heart issue.  I hope you find your puppy soon.

This is a big community. Hopefully, there is someone who can help Rachel out. I cannot even imagine the devastation of thinking I was picking up a puppy the next day, only to be told I am not getting that puppy after waiting for so long. Surely, there is someone who knows a breeder somewhere in her vicinity that can PM her the details. I would just love to see this one have a happy ending. Sorry Rachel, for all you have been through, but I have faith the right dog is coming your way. I hope someone here can expedite that for you. Good luck!!

I think the mini red part makes it a little harder. But many breeders do have puppies that are unassigned of late.
