Summer cut woes

I tried out a new groomer because the one we have used in the past closed down.  I love the new place and Brinkley loves to go to doggy day-care there... but we had a mix up in communication (I guess) and he was cut a lot shorter than I expected.  I knew that he needed to be shorter for the summer but I miss my floppy moppy doodle.  They cut his beard and his left eyelashes (not the right), and they really trimmed down his legs.  I love when his feet look like bear paws.

 

I talked to the owner and she was great about all of it... even offered us a free day of daycare.  I know they are new so I'm going to give them another chance.

I never even thought about a sunburn!  Wow, that happens on dogs?  I guess that would makes sense!

I agree that he's cute both ways.  However, since with his new "do" he looks SO MUCH like a certain little doodle I know and love, I'm a little partial to the naked Brinkley.

Oh, he still looks cute but I get the disappointment. The beard thing for some reason the groomers DON'T get, more than once Daisy has been sheared between her eyes like a poodle (totally ticked me off) and her beard shaved.

I have the doodle do instructions on my desktop, here it is, take it with you next time.

Lisa, thank you so much for the Doodle Doo instructions!  I have printed them off and will be giving it to the groomer when I take Kahlua in.  Perfect!  Groomers "think" they know how to cut a doodle, but the really don't.  I groom her myself during the winter months, but I just can't get through all that hair during the summer months.  Thanks again.  Will post pictures after her trip to the salon!

awww he looks adorable!  He reminds me of Camilla's Darwin... he goes long to short and short to long very well... hard to look bad when your so dang handsome:)

He looks cute! I understand having frustration with haircuts, I always hate losing Darwin's shaggy doodle look. But they grow out!
