On the east coast and just woke up to hear about the massive earthquake in Japan. Thoughts and prayers for everybody in Japan and those in areas with tsunami warnings.

We have very close friends who are vacationing in Hawaii right now!

We called them this morning and they said they were being evaquated to higher ground.

Thankfully they are safe...and we are so grateful for that.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Japan and those who are being affected by the results of the tsunami...

My heart goes out to the people in Japan affected by this horrific earthquake. Such destruction...

It is one of the biggest fears for many of us here in the San Francisco bay area. The Tsunami has made it's way to Santa Cruz but so far no major damage...fingers crossed it stays that way.

so far in Canada we have been ok.... After the quake in new Zealand where I have friends, and the floods in Australia which affected my sister, i have started to get ready an earthquake preparedness emergency kit. Hope to never need it! The first thing I got ready was pet supplies!!!!!

It seems natural disasters are coming fast and furious lately. I am thinking of the affected people and hoping for the best.

I agree.  What is happening these days?  Only 10 months ago, Nashville suffered from a 1,000 year flood and over 60,000 (yes, I said 60 THOUSAND) homes were flooded. 

I swear, this weather.

Hearing about this recent disaster sure can make us stop and realize that our daily challenges are so trivial.  The power of nature is phenomenal and it seems that the universe is sure sending us some incredible messages these days.  We hope that those affected in any way have the love and support from all around the world.
