Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
This is Kylee, our sweet 13 year old black lab. We had to make that awful decision that it was her time to go and not let her suffer any longer.
We said goodbye to her on Monday 7-9-12, just 1 year and 1 month after losing her long time mate Jake, our 14 yr old Golden Retriever.
It seems my heart is broken...and a chapter of our life has come to an end. To lose them both has been one of the hardest times I have gone thru. If it wasn't for my sweet GD Chloe and our other 2 yr old Golden Bentley, I don't think I would get thru this.
Kylee had a very long, happy life and could not have asked for a better Doggy life.
In the end she was suffering from arthritis, Diabetes, Cushings, went completely blind and mostly deaf. She was struggling with so much, and started urinating in the house due to not finding her way outside in time. We just could not watch her suffer any longer, and we knew she was in pain. Our vet told us that she really did not have any quality of life left, and that she was very tired...
I like to believe that she is happy and healthy now and running with her Jake again!
We miss you Kylee and will always love and remember you!

I am so sorry.
I have had many dogs in my life time starting from when I was a child. I think their lives only make ours fuller and happier. The end of their lives ( each and every one for me ) is hard and painful, but I always go find myself another dog.
So sorry for the loss of your old friend.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Kylee. May memories of happy times help to comfort you.
So sorry for your loss. You gave your sweet dog a happy home and a good life, and let her go when the time was right.
So sorry for your loss...She is at the Rainbow Bridge with all the other wonderful pets that have left us. Hugs and good thoughts to you at this very sad time.
Your photos show the wonderful happy life you gave your dogs. In our hearts, we know it is the right decision when that time comes, but it does not make it any easier. I am so sorry for your loss.
Thank you for letting us know about Kylee. I know your heart is broken and hope that in the months ahead it will be the wonderful times you shared that come to mind instead of the pain of loss. May you be comforted. Blessings.
I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs to you and may you find comfort in knowing she is now running pain free with her buddy Jake.
My other two seem ok. Chloe, my baby I havent noticed any significant change, but my Golden, Bentley seems very quiet, and seems to look for her around the house. He always helped take care of Kylee.
When she lost her hearing and sight, I could tell Bentley to "go get Kylee" when it was time for them to eat, and he would go find her asleep in our room and bark at her and nudge her till she got up and came to eat. So sweet.
