Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I am new to the site so please bare with me if I am not posting this in the correct place. Could someone give me some feedback in regards to my lil Chelsea's facial furnishings. I was hoping she would have a fuzzy lil face and beard but it's not looking like that is going to happen. We will love her just the same but just want to see if anyone has/had a puppy that looks/looked similar at this age (3 1/2 months) She is an F1 Goldendoodle, Any thoughts?

As of now it looks like your doodle will have an open face, that is one without facial furnishings.

Yes, Pippa looked just like that. Here she is at 3-1/2 months:

And here is a recent photo of her at 1-1/2:

She is absolutely the sweetest little girl! You can see more photos of her on my page. I have two others that are more fluffy and Doodly and they all get attention when we go out but I do get LOTS of compliments for sweet Pippa!

I see you have already joined the group "Where's the poodle in my Doodle?" You should be able to see a few like ours in that group. They are more common than you'd think.

I for one would love to have one with a clean face - it would save me, my furniture and floors from being washed multiple times a day when they drink water. Their beards stay wet all the time. I try to catch them after they drink and wipe their face, but it is a constant job!  Chelsea is adorable - with or without a beard.

I agree with the others but just wanted to say that Chelsea has absolutely gorgeous eyes!!  I  could look into them all day long!

Thats another plus! I can always see Pippa's gorgeous eyes. She never has hair in front of them.

Oh to think I'd not have wet soppy dirty beards and still have an adorable doodle!!!!  Best of both worlds if you ask me. She does have beautiful eyes and her coat is wavy.

Yes, an open face--and I am pretty sure the breeder knew this was the case with the pup and should have informed you that you would have a doodle that did not have a fluffy face--still adorable, but in my opinion, there should be no surprises.

Absolutely! I was well aware of what I was getting when we got Pippa. I chose her because she looked that way.

that is the way it should be...and often that means a discount since it is not the "classic" doodle look.

She is so sweet!

I just wanted up to update this discussion w/ a current picture of Chelsea, this is her at almost one year old. She still is not a typical doodle dog but she's getting there. Either way her personality, loyalty and playfulness make her the perfect pup!

Do you have an update of her now? I’m asking because my Beau looked just like she did at 3 or so months and he will be 1 Dec 16. This is what he looks like now.
