As I enjoy one of my favorite lunches - a yummy peanut butter and lettuce sandwich - I am questioning myself.  All due to starting Adina's healthy eating starting Aug. 1., I'm sure.  Is peanut butter and lettuce considered healthy?  O.K. maybe not the bread but it was whole wheat.  I'm the kinda person that could reasonably argue that Milk Duds are healthy - hey - there is LOTS of milk in chocolate and carmel.  I'm probably a lost cost on the weight loss thing with this kind of thinking.  DH thinks my sandwich is repulsive, I say there are weirder combos that peanut butter and lettuce.  So what is your weirdest sandwich?

turkey sandwich with cream cheese and cranberry sauce. We always had this with Thanksgiving leftovers.
Ummmm!  Always loved turkey & cranberty after Thanksgiving...but OMD...never thought to add Cream Cheese.  Can't wait for Thanksgiving now.
YUM!
Isn't this considered food porn?  Especially when a lot of us are going to soon be following a new healthy eating plan?  I better get a salami fix this week.
This might be considered food porn.  But I know a secret!  You will still be able to eat any of these disgusting and awesome sandwiches on the new food plan.  You just won't feel like eating as much of them.

Very good to know...very good to know.

AWESOME! The suspense is killing me!

Weirdest sandwich...peas & mayo on white.  When my daddy made dinner, it was always interesting.

Now that's gross!!

sardines or anchovies with hard boiled egg and mayo

blue cheese and butter (that's how I turn cheap blue cheese into 18.99/lb Stilton)

mayo, zatar (an herb powder), tomatoes & green peppers thinly sliced

turkey, cheese and pickled jalapenos

Before I had a family to feed/impress, for dinner I'd occasionally melt in the microwave chedder on sliced raw onions and eat it with a fork...not a sandwich, but I think that qualifies as weird yeah?  Also red wine vinegar on chick peas with minced onions and parsley.  Those are some fast dinners.  Now they are "side dishes" here at Chez Porter.

Some of those combinations sound delicious to me!

I am guessing you'd rather have salt than sugar, like me.  Not that I don't like sugar, but I truly crave salt, vinegar and spicy food more than I crave desserts.
