Swim season - let's see those dood's!
Yankee went for his first swim this year. The water was very cold but my granddaughter got brave and went in the pool. Of course, Yankee followed her.

Today was Gracie's second time at water, and she swam, no sweat (she really wanted that Lab's toy)! Her first lake visit she waded in but never let her feet leave the bottom. But boy oh boy, did she smell bad on the way home. She's been soundly sleeping ever since her bath...

Didn't take long for my little Mango to decide she was going to enjoy the pool along with the rest of us. If we are in she is in, we have to lock her in the house it it isn't a good time for her to go in. (Pool Party) etc. She has the best time. If you're actually swimming laps she tries to "rescue" you. She grabs your arm and swims towards the stairs to save you. Pretty ambitious for a 20 pound doodle!

Apr 1st the ice left our part of Lake Ontario and the same day Barney was swimming. We had a hard time convincing him to come out and warm up. -

At a off leash nature trail we frequent. He loves splashing around! I can't wait until we go to a lake to let him full on swim again! -

Nothing I love more than to watch dogs in nature swimming, splashing, etc. I can see the retriever in him now. You go Darwin. I used to love to watch my retrievers in our creek, lakes and stuff. Look at the tail up. Yes, I'm a real dog, not a lap dog like that L"il Sheila!!!!
