I love my black goldendoodle! I read somewhere that black goldendoodles were the least desirable and least popular doodle.....I covered Cooper's ears and told him how much I love him....LOL! I'm getting better at photographing him. It helps if he's against my lighter carpet, and in medium light with my flash on. So happy to meet other black doodles!

I have two black dogs, Jack, my Labradoodle and Moose, a Catalan Shepherd. When they were both young I had them professionally photographed (because I could never take good pictures). My favorite is of my black doodle against a black background. It's very dramatic. LeAnn & Lucy are right about Large Black dogs being prone to tumors. After going through radiation treatments for our giant schnauzer's sarcoma, we started giving our dogs Beta Glucan as a tumor preventative. This is used a lot in Asia with success. Yeah, to Black dogs!

HI all. Just found this site. Tully, our wavy-haired doodle is the love of our lives! He's almost 5 years old -- born December 22, 2003 and weighs 75 pounds. We live in Arlington, Va where Tully has lots of doggy friends and is the attendant favorite at doggy day care! He is such a handsome dog, but photos haven't been able to capture this well. Thanks for the photo hints - hope to replace Tully's picture with a better one.

the best shots of my beloved Paolo are taken outside in full sunlight. If you have an automatic light meter in your camera, or are using a digital cam, make sure your picture is close up so that the black fur is the dominant color in the majority of the shot. Then your doodle and his/her coat will glisten!

I have 1 black doodle and you are right it is so hard to get a good picture of him...I do hope that when it snows I will be able to get some great shots of Ozzy!

our crazy doodles. Mine is funny with some brown around her muzzle, but also single little white hairs poking our sporadically through her back. One of her litter mates also has the little weeds coming out.

Its great to see pics of what all those different black doodles look like when they are adult dogs, ours is only a pup and there are not very many doodles in ireland so hard to get an idea of what they will look like!!! :)
