Does anyone else's doodle have kemp on the foot?  I just noticed this today on Noah.  The kemp is on the top of his paw.

I don't know what that is!
What is kemp?
No. Gracie has some on her back but none on her feet.
Toby's is on his back and his tail.
I have never heard of Kemp. Does it hurt Noah?
I guess they could develop kemp anywhere, but this localized spot makes me think there was some injury to the skin on that spot and the new hair grew in differently.
I just checked Guinness to see if he had anything that looked like this. No. Did it just show up. Is it a problem?
I think maybe I need to change my name!

- Kemp :-)
Well, Kemp, if the clippers fit....... LOL
I wondered about that, Kemp. :)
For those not familiar with kemp, it is the coarse hair that is sprinkled thru the coat in varying amounts. It is usually more prominent on the back near the tail and on the tail.
I suspect some of Gracie's kemp spots are caused by flea spot treatment. Also, last year when she was in the throes of allergy trouble those spots developed at the site of some sores. In those cases they eventually grow out.
