Me too! Plus I bought the normal size and it has lasted over 5 months of baths every1.5-2.5 weeks and is probably still half full. At $8 a bottle, that is quite the bargain! I'm considering getting the gallon next time I need some.
I use Chris Christensen Spectrum 10 shampoo and conditioner. Works really well, Nimbus gets clean but doesn't itch, and it smells very good. And he's extremely soft.
We use earthbath oatmeal and aloe shampoo and earthbath creme rinse and conditioner, I love them both! They make her very soft. :)
I've been bathing my doodles for years and have gone through several favorites. One thing I've noticed after all this time is one shampoo does not work for the different hair types Lucy and Oscar have. Lucy's coarse, woolly coat can take a 'soft and fluffy' shampoo and even conditioners, but Oscar's soft, curly coat requires a shampoo geared for creating a coarser coat. Oscar's naturally soft coat will mat overnight with a shampoo for fluffy coats, and Lucy's coarse hair will be like steel wool without softeners found in certain shampoos and conditioners. Okay, with all that said, my all time favorite BRAND of shampoo is Kelco and they have about a dozen different formulas, ones for soft fluffy coats to wiry coats, color enhancing, sensitive skin, puppies and stinky coats. My favorite for Oscar is Ultra Blue (for white/cream coats, that leaves the coat wiry), and for Lucy I like Plum White (also for white/cream coats that leaves the coat fluffy). You name it, Kelco has a shampoo for any condition. Best place to purchase is direct from Laubeshop.com.
I should add, that lately I've been using an entirely different shampoo on Lucy. One that was very inexpensive from PetEdge and leaves the coat very soft and smells great. Aromacare Soothing Camomile. I originally got it for Oscar who has itching issues after a groom, but it left his coat so soft it matted very quickly in all areas over 1-1/2" long, but its perfect for Lucy's coarse coat (and seems to enhance her light carmel colored areas). I've since learned why Oscar itches after a groom and it has nothing to do with shampoo. The sharp hairs that come from a clipper cut seem to irritate his skin so he needs a 2nd shampoo after the groom.
I love Buddy Shampoo. It smells great and leaves Willa soft.
I love the Aroma Paws line-no chemicals! They do a great job and smell wonderful!
