Great idea. Where did you get the bowl? I think I need to try this for our kitties.
My husband was looking at the bowls and then explained to me why he thought they were made this way < he thinks like an engineer> He was the one who kept telling me he thought this was her problem. I couldn't find any information on it but it makes sense to me! Complete sense.
Thanks, Karen. Yes, she is doing very well. Now, I wish I could get the other cat to eat just as well...but we all know how cats eat.
Wow! Never thought about the whisker situation. They are very course on kitties. My boys eat out of shallow bowls.....but I think I will be changing. Thanks Joanne!
Great bowl, and I am so glad she is doing better now, Joanne.
Oval Cat Bowls
This concept has been out.. just recently or maybe I just more aware of it now but recently I purchased an OVAL BOWL for our elderly cat.
A cat's whiskers will be as wide as its body. Whiskers signal the cat on spacial direction. It is really difficult for a cat to try to eat out of a round bowl or deep bowl. Not a comfortable meal at all.
So, the oval bowl. She loves it. Makes dinner so much more relaxing. By changing her food several months back ( Acana) and switching to this oval bowl, the improvement < she was throwing up constantly) is amazing
Puff Dog, ruler of the house, was 13lbs when we brought Rua home, all 4lbs of her!
Not best buds, but coexisting.
Ha ha, says Puff Dog...I am still bigger than you.
I searched and searched and can't find the pictures I took of Rua and Puff Dog not that long ago...they were both side by side perched over the back of the loveseat. Rua just LOVES to pull Puff's fur, lick her and tumble all over her...Puff Dog doesn't seem to mind. I never would have thought that Puff Dog would ever even tolorate Rua. I couldn't be happier.
