Hope every one is having a great Holiday. Sorry I have been out of touch on here but as some of you know Maggie had surgery and it is kept me a little busy so here is a little update on her. She had her brain surgery last Thursday to remove her Cavernous Malformation. That is the fancy name but a friend renamed it the ball of string to better describe it. She did incredibly well and got out of the hospital on Sunday (ahead of schedule) and is now home recuperating for the next 6 weeks. I have attached a picture of her staples (not for the squeamish) because I think it's cool. Maybe not everyone will so that is why it is an attachment. But for those interested here it is. Merry Christmas (Ha ha)
Seriously, I hope you and all the doodles are doing well and hope to see you all soon.
Belinda
Belinda, so strange that you should post this...I had just mentioned to Jerry last night that I wondered how things were going since I had not heard anything from you. I had told him I was going to call and just have not had a chance. I'm glad that everything went well and that she's home recuperating. When I told the girl across the hall here at work who her Dr. was, she said, well she is definitely in good hands! Please Please Please let us know if either of you need anything.
I will call later to check on you.
Yes, Dr. White was fabulous! I can not say enough about him. Found out yesterday that pathology said it was actually an AVM (Arteriovenous malformation) which is really good that she decided to take it out.
Hi Belinda, I also had no idea Maggie was sick, much less had BRAIN surgery. Hope all is going well.
I am one of the squeamish so I am NOT opening the attachment.
Belinda - sorry to hear that Maggie was sick. Hope she is on her way to a quick and healthy recovery. If I can help in any way - please ask. It's what we're here for. Thoughts for you and the family.
Wow she looks good and so does her staples! That's quite an ordeal to look so good so quick. Positive thoughts and prayers going up for a quick and complete recovery. Glad to see and hear all went well
Wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to you and yours!
Hey Belinda,
Sure hope Maggie's recovery is continuing at a rapid pace and she is feeling better than new! :-)
Hope to see you both out and about soon at one of our GRAD events.
Here's to a Happy, Healthy 2010!
