Ta-Dah! happy news. Tina delivered five dark chocolate babies starting at midnight last night. Tina looks wonderful this morning and her pups are shining examples of true multi-generational Australian Labradoodles. There are four girls and 1 boy. Scoop is the puppies' daddy. Each pup is nursing nicely and very quiet. A good sign!

Thanks Libby. I am happy to hear this. Of course I love my little Paddy, even if he has a big part down the middle of his backbone. At camp they think it's funny looking and makes him a bit different and unique looking. It looks to me that perhaps shorter and courser red hair is coming in along his backbone, so although he looks balding now, I think maybe some darker hair, as you indicate, will grow in along his backbone. I am committed to figuring out my new camera this weekend and hopefully will have pictures to post. Thanks for all of your responses. I was a little (just a little after so many questions) concerned....I'm at peace now...

Hin Mindy & Barbara, Rufus is an apricot with a darker strip down the center of his back. He has almost what I would call "guard hairs" that are red and of a different texture than his wool coat. The strip isn't as obvious when his hair is longer, but a groomer (I no longer go to) practically shaved him this summer!

Hi Barbara:Thank you so much. I am "thinking" Paddy's hair will in fact grow in, he "looks" bald along the backbone, however I "think" darker red hair, that is different in texture is coming in. I am always asked about it, as people wonder if he is balding. I think he has a part there and that his hir will come in darker in that area. Thanks again. Mindy

Hi Mindy- Regarding your red stripe on Paddy's back. Our Finn is a beautiful red and the hair that runs straight down his backbone is darker than the rest of him. I know this may sound crazy but certain times of the year it appears to be darker than other times. The hair in this area is also a little different in texture as well! Hope this helps...

Hello Friends, I just started an Australian Labradoodle group and would love to have you come on board. There is something so special about the original Australians and I hope we can celebrate them together!
