Nutmeg is also from Glory's Sept. 27th litter and she got home Saturday afternoon. She is having a lot of fun exploring her new home and was wonderful on her ride home. She has been sleeping pretty well at night (so far). I will post some pictures as soon as I have some time. . . .

Hi Log Cabin Family! I am happy to announce Camden is home! He's from Glory's Sept 27th litter (Daddy is Yum Yum). We brought him home Friday night after his long journey from Maine with Pete Barnes -- thank you again, Pete! Patty, I promised pictures and stories so I posted a few pics on "Camden's Page" and posted a blog with an update. Enjoy!

I had to share this with you-I will be picking up my new puppy Nutmeg on Saturday morning. I was just surprised by my staff with a puppy shower-complete with a cake shaped like a bone, paw balloons and enough toys and treats to spoil Nutmeg before we have even gotten to meet her.

Wow this is interesting my son is a nuclear engineer in the Navy and has homeland security clearance to get close enough to the president...Patty we have lots in common. Never know you could be the breeder of the "First Dog"

MSNBC did not contact me, they used a copyrighted photo without my permission. Actually, the photo is one I posted on Doodle Kisses. Kathy, if you e-mail me privately, I will send the picture as an attachment in a reply.

Jeez, can you tell I'm an English, NOT a History professor! Did MSNBC contact you, and if they did, how did they know about you? Were the pics from your website, and if so, which one(s)?

Also, Kathy, MSNBC used a photo of our dog to illustrate their story on the Obamas looking for a Goldendoodle or Labradoodle. A couple of things--Admiral Byrd went to the South Pole; my father-in-law was awarded the "Congressional Medal" the lay version of the "Congressional Medal of Honor" which is given to servicemen. Thanks for all your work on this!

OK, let's do this. Marianne, I don't know anything about Channel 2 news, but it seems like a reasonable place to start. I'm going to see how we can actually contact Obama; after all, what could possibly be more important than picking a puppy?! (please note the irony; I know many of us are suffering during these times) Then I'll find out what the first family wants (size, (which really DOES matter!), gender, color, age...) and offer Patty's services. What could be easier?! When I tell him about Patty's North Pole connection, the Medal of Honor, the beauty of the state of Maine, and the noble lineage of a Log Cabin Doodle, he won't be able to resist.
