Hi Karen - where are you at? I'd like to help you!
Hi Karen Denise,
If you are seeking a good home, I have an amazing colleague where I work who might be interested. Her two dogs, who both lived until 18, recently died; she has two young children and I know she would absolutely be an amazing mom to your beloved dog. Please let me know if you are interested and i will mention it to her. I own a labradoodle who is a therapy dog and works with me; this colleague loves my dog, and keeps talking about wanting a doodle for her family.
Hi everyone. I have a male Australian Labradoodle that will be 3 in Dec. I love him dearly, like he was my child. Unfortunately due to my declining health, I can no longer care for him. I can even brush him anymore. My neighbor has been walking him for me but shes moving in a few weeks and I don't know what Ill do. I tried contacting a rescue but they didn't really know anything about doodles and wanted me to have the vet perform a surgery to reposition his penis so he wouldn't pee on his feet when he goes. When i spoke to the vet, he said that there was no such thing and most big poodles and doodles do that (to look up poodle pants) and to please not give them my baby. I don't know what to do at this point. I would really like him to go to an experienced doodle home that will love him as much as I do and would keep in touch with pictures and such. I'm heartbroken and my husband just wants to drop him off at a shelter. Hes always resented how much I paid for him and how much I love my muppet, so he wont help me at all.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much for your sound advice, Tennille!
Mocha is coming from rural Arkansas so I'm sure there'll be culture shock!
I'm so looking forward to a more adorable world :-).
Hi Sharon and Mocha - I recommend finding a puppy social group immediately. So that while you're waiting for your puppy to get all its shots, you can still socialize them and get out of the house. Your vet might discourage you, but I also took my Lellebel to the park and sat on a bench with her or took her to a dog friendly bar so that she could start getting used to people and noises. The more you can expose them to earlier, the better. Good luck and I'm happy to help out if you have any questions! Congratulations! You're about to make your world so much more adorable!!
We live in an apartment building in NYC. Any tips on raising a dog in the city?
Hi, I live in NYC and am getting our Aussie Labradoodle this Tuesday. He was born to Rocky & Jewel. Wondering if any Stargazer Labradoodles siblings in NYC area he could socialize with.
Madison just had her last litter and would like to start a fan page. Looking for any puppies from any of her litters
