Have you ever taken your doodle in to visit patients? My dad was a patient last year and I was on my way to our dog club we attend that is near the hospital I work at. I decided to take Lucy in to see him. She did wonderful. I was so proud of her and wow was she a hit. All of the staff, families and patients wanted to see her, touch her and had many questions. She is not certified therapy dog yet, but our hosp. is very welcoming of dogs and cats.

Whoa! I never saw this thread before.

Well not my dood, he is a little to unbehaved for that. But my father had a heart attack eons ago. While he was still in ICU, I went to the waiting room then asked to speak with his nurse. I had my Shih Tzu in a shoulder bag so nobody noticed her. I spent about an hour with my Dad just letting him play on the bed with my dog. I think that he really enjoyed it. He tends to be somewhat of a rule breaker so he was thrilled with the visit.

That is awesome!!

There is a golden that is a therapy dog where I work. Just petting him and getting a little doggie love makes the day go better. Hoping to have my pup ready to be a therapy dog when I retire.
