2 Males or a Male and a Female?

OK - I'm sure that some will think we are crazy. We just got Casey 3 days ago and have decided to add another puppy to our home. Casey is trying SO hard to play and doesn't have anyone to play with him. Our dachshund are too old and set in their ways to play and the cat just slaps him or spits!  We have the option of a black male with a very wavy coat, or an apricot female with a loose coat.  So - what do you think?  2 males or a male and a female?  (BTW - Casey is apricot with a medium wavy coat).

How fun! The next week will be a real joy ride for everyone (especially Casey!). As for names, its funny everyone giving their input. Now, personally, I like Cooper. Cooper and Casey has a real nice ring to it! Lol..

I love all of the names that everyone has suggested. Got a call from hubby about an hour ago and he has our new little boy and Casey. He said that Casey was SO excited to see his brother. They are fast asleep togehter in the travel crate, so seem to be doing well.  John said that as soon as he saw him, he called him Cody - - - so Cody it is!  Casey and Cody !!!! (Gotta keep hubby happy, too).   I will post lots of picutres. Can NOT wait to see him. They should be home about 6 or 7 pm (depends on how many potty stops they have to make.)

Update for all. . . Things are going amazingly well. The boys are having a wonderful time and playing HARD. Sometimes a bit too hard for Cody. Don't know if you remember or not - but we were delayed 1 week from picking up Casey because several of his litter mates had pneumonia and the entire litter was being treated. Well - Cody was one that was ill. He is FINE now, but during his illness, his growth laged a bit behind. So he is smaller that Casey. (at least for the moment.) Breeder and vets both assure me that he will catch up in time. Since he is smaller, Casey can really throw his weight around a bit. Casey is very excited to have his brother around, but really doesn't want us to pay any attention to Cody. Wants his "playtoy" but wants him back in his crate when not being used!!! They slept in the same crate last night and cuddled - my goodness - SO cute. I promise that this weekend, I will attempt to take some pictures and post for all to see.
