Guess we didn't do a good job explaining what we wanted for our puppy's first haircut. We like the long hair teddy bear look and just needed a little taken off to prevent matting. Also wanted to shorten her "beard" as it is a sponge for water. Barely recognized her. Really looks like a poodle in the face. Also noticed they scraped her nose. I think she rubbed it and caused little beads of blood. Poor thing! Apparently it's just like women's hair. Can't just trust anyone to understand what you like. Will need to learn to explain better. Who knew puppy stuff was so challenging. Hoping it grows back soon!

I think the problem is the icons don't appear on an iPad or tablet.

I like her body cut but they did give her more of a poodle cut on the face. It won't take long to grow out. As it grows out and you find a stage you really like, take a picture for your groomer. It will help her out and you will be happier! She is a cute doodle!

still a cutie pie!

oh I feel for you.  we have been to two groomers and I still don't know how to explain the cut.  I have taken pictures, wrote notes, etc. I think it takes multiple trips to train the groomers!!

I cried on the first cut. gasped on the second cut for our dood.  hair will grow back, but it does take it's time. I am trying to keep our long for first Christmas pictures!! I think using the words scissor cut vs. razor cut is key! and warning everyone defines 'potty patch' differently.

She still looks adorable! But this is why I am scared to have Sawyer groomed! He's going to look like one of the Duck Dynasty brothers in a couple years... :-)
Got a good chuckle on that one! :-)
Thanks everyone. The body cut is growing on me. I'll just have to be careful about her face. Maybe I'll try that myself. We'll see how that goes. :-o. Thanks also on the potty patch mention. I didn't know there were options. Thought it looked weird how she did it. I'll have to check on that.
She is super cute!!! But I understand what you mean; the first time mine came back I literally did not recognize him. I said "oh, that dog is cute, he kind of looks like Finn" and the tech looked at me funny and said "this is Finn" lol. He looked nothing like he did when I brought him in, it was terrible! I went home and bathed him (they had blown him out like a poodle) and did my own cutting and got him closer to what I expected. ;0). And then next time I was VERY specific on what I wanted. I think that's the key. She is adorable though!
Mine just went to the groomer yesterday and blew her coat out too and did the exact oppisite of whats asked for but I did take her home and give her a bath because I didn't like the fluff. I almost like smacked my self because here I am paying for a 40 dollar sanitary cut just for me to go home and fix it and be furious with the groomer!
Bahahaha! I do the same thing! Almost every time! Here I am paying $60 so that I can go home and bath and cut him myself, lol. My groomer (finally) has gotten it much closer after I've gotten beyond specific and brought pics in and left them. But I brought him in last week and said "same as last time" and if was awful...I thought they kept notes?! But apparently not so now I'm back to very specific instructions and pics, ha!

I grew up with a Yorkie and we always took him to a groomer that would make him look just like a puppy and so cute! One time we took him somewhere else and they pretty much shaved him! We used the same wording as with the other groomer, but she obviously heard something different! He looked like a rat! It was unfortunate. But his hair grew back. At least your puppy is still super cute even though it is not exactly what you wanted. I know its disappointing though when you pay so much money and don't get what you are looking for.
