How do you keep them from chewing the leash?

I am stepping on it and giving her something else to chew, but when I think she's happily chewing in something else she's actually chewing on the leash. Grrrr...

Bitter sprays won't work for the leash. Not sure why, but with other items it has helped, but not the leash.

We had this issue with Mel-- we got a chain leash (which he couldn't chew), used it for a month, and then when we switched back to the regular leash he had gotten out of the habit. The chain leash wasn't very attractive, but it worked :)

Really saturate the leash with the bitter sprays, & see if that helps.

I will give it a try. I forgot to look for a metal leash today, so it can't hurt.
