Toy Suggestions Please!

Hello!

Lloyd is almost 9 months old now, 40lbs, and doing great.

However, lately the little rascal loves to tear up his toys and he's getting really good and fast at it. The only ones that has not been completely destroyed are his Nylabone Durachews which are still intact but are taking a good beating. I just bought him a Kong Beast toy that is like a rope toy but made out of seat belt material and two kong-like chews on either end. That was gone in about 15 minutes. He really loved his Flying Squirrel but that's but a little piece of material now. Currently, he's tearing apart his Kong stuffed animal which surprisingly has survived since we brought him home. I think it's because there's nothing else. He doesn't like the traditional Kong toys and I don't give him bully sticks/ears, etc. anymore because 1) he get's growly and protective of them, and 2) he can eat those up in 15 minutes.

He's been very good at only destroying his toys but now that his collection is dwindling, he's going after my kids' stuff (mainly foam Nerf darts and foam balls which make a beautiful mess). Any good sturdy toy suggestions?

Since we got Jade, Gracie tries to take off with her toys which are not made for her aggressive chewing. So, I tell her - no that's the baby's toy. But, when I'm not lookin she quietly sneaks off with one. Lol

The entire line of Zogoflex toys was what i was going to suggest. Both Lucy and Oscar are extremely aggressive chewers and Zogoflex are the only toys that they haven't made a single tooth mark on (and they've worked on them every day!). We have every one of the shapes in the largest size. Both doodles love them all and even take them to bed with them at the end of the day. Oscar greets people at the door with one in his mouth and the two dogs often play tug with them. We had tried everything and nothing holds up like Zogoflex. Since we have them all, I'm at a loss with what to get them for Christmas. I know nothing else will last more than a few minutes. Antlers are okay, but I worry about the possibility of one of them breaking a tooth on them. Doggy dental surgery is very expensive!

Clancy can destroy a toy in minutes.  The indestructible ones might last a day or two intact.  Last year for Christmas, I got him a Mighty Ball :   http://www.petsupplies.com/item/mighty-balls-dog-toy/498840%20LG%20...

He immediately ripped the fabric off, but we still have the ball and it is intact! He loves it.  As for the Nylabones, we have a friend who sands the rough places off periodically.

We also have knotted braids of fleece that we just re-tye.

We have some stuffies - they LOVE them, that we just let deteriorate once the the stuffing is out.

Just a quick update...Lloyd got a Zogoflex tug toy for Christmas. He loves it! So far despite his best efforts, it's still in one piece-not a bite mark on it. We also got him a big elk antler that he's also enjoying. 

It looks like we got some winning toys here that are holding up to his destructive chewing. It's a Christmas miracle!

Yes, Santa was good to Lloyd this year! The sign was made by our neighbor...another lovely Christmas present for Lloyd. Definitely not a chew toy but not sure where we'll hang it yet!

What a nice neighbor! I was just razzing about it being a chew toy.

On that note, I was at Costco today and they had a jolly pets chew toy pack that included two different sized jolly pets bones and a rope/ball toy. My fur kids have had a lot of fun with their after Christmas present!

At first, Penny loved her Kong. I think I put in my profile that it was her favorite (but I might have removed it). But her enthusiasm waned. Now she never touches it. I've put treats inside but to no avail. She doesn't like it anymore. I have no idea why because most dogs love that toy. Come to think of it, Penny's older sister, Lexi, isn't thrilled with the toy either. I really wonder why it's so popular.

My family's standard poodle really didn't like the Kong much either. We were all disappointed about that too. My current pup, Angus, looooves his Kong because that's there the peanut butter is usually. He only gets the kong in the crate or in rare cases when we have visitors and need him to be occupied or calmer. However, in the evenings when he was in the crate during the day, he often digs through his crate to find his Kong and try to get residual treats/PB out of it.
