I'm a new Doodle owner, in fact, my puppy won't arrive for another 4 weeks from the breeders! However, I find myself attracted to collars leashes and tags for my soon-to-be new member of the family. My breeder recommended Lupine collars, so I ordered a lupine collar and leash/lead in the "cherry blossom" print shown in our group photo. But... I also splurged on a Coach baby-pink signature collar & leash. I've recently read about rolled collars preventing mats. There are so many options to choose from. Please share your favorites! (Photos welcome!)
I like the rogz for dogz collar. It has a dual latch type deal so if the first catch gets pulled or caught the collar won't just fall off. This helps me feel better if ever this happened and they had no identification. I had two dogs taken before. I also like the patterns and the quality. Jazzie has had hers since about five years ago.
I also bought Neely a leash last week. It is nice and comfie on the hand. co-ordinates with the collar. Neat designs.
I would like to try one of their dog beds too. Neely has eaten two. I think I will waiit a bit to make that investment again as we need one for sure two would be better.
There is a doodle member that does personalized dog tags and they are really cute and don't leave marks on the coats. She had pics up. Where I can't remember. Maybe she will see this group and post her tags.
Tried a bunch - but at this time we like the Hamilton doulble nylon collars and we have several. I also like the Boomerang over the collar stainless tags - no jingle - and classy!
I like the embroidered leashes and collars from www.llbean.com and I like the leather leashes and collars from www.prestonleashes.com they are handmade from one long piece of leather with no stiching to wear out.
Okay, I've figured it out! What, you say? Well, I was enchanted by the Swarovki Crystal collars (the ones costing $400 PLUS! I'll just get a nice red or pink leather collar, then go to my friendly local bead store and buy the crystals and glue them on! Okay, so the crystals are 25 cents each.....If I buy 200 of them, that's still only $50......okay, maybe I'd best be content with 100. Or a nice little puppy scarf.....sigh.
I forgot to mention what collar I use on our big boys! (Labrador Retrievers) For them, I have large, black "Lazer Brite" collars with a silver "Z" pattern of the reflective material. Seeing as how they are free to roam the farm most days/evenings; I want to make sure they are HIGHLY visible to cars and tractors (or flashlights!), and these collars ARE bright!
Does anyone know where to find a rolled collar, which is great to keep matts from forming, BUT is NOT a buckle latch???? I'm afraid leaving her alone with the buckles... Thanks!!!
You could try one of the sites that custom made collars. they might be able to make one but i haven't seen any ready made ones.

I just got this EZ collar. I have been keeping her collar off while she is indoor since around her neck seems to get matted.
This EZ collar is a martingale style, with wide padded collar, and slip on adjustment. I thik I like it so far....
We like Top Paw (collar),Flexi (leash), and Aspen (harness). We made her tag in the Petsmart tag machine and it hasn't scratched or damaged yet (had it for 4 months)!!!!!!!!
